I love working with small businesses as a micro-influencer. It’s much more personal for me to collaborate and interact with small businesses than receiving items from a PR agency for a campaign. I feel like my followers/readers like to get to know these small businesses more as well. I received a bar of soap from the Dutch brand Homemade Chronicles (you can find them on Instagram as @homemade.chronicles).
Homemade Chronicles are focussing especially on self made and environmentally friendly products! They were just starting up their business and asked me if I would like to receive a bar of soap to try and give my feedback, so that they could improve their product. Today I’m here to give my feedback on the bar of soap that they sent me!
The Orange and Lemon Soap
Homemade Chronicles let me pick a soap and I chose their Orange and Lemon Soap. Besides the fact that this soap smells like oranges and lemons, it furthermore has a bunch of other ingredients in it. This piece of soap contains coconut oil and sunflower oil, which has antibacterial properties that help get rid of dirt and germs safely. It is also rich with vitamin E to add more of a stable lather, conditioning, and a silky feel on the skin.
The orange and lemon essential oils help to increase ability to absorb vitamin C, collagen production and blood flow as well as maintaining proper balance of the skin’s natural oils.
Review & Feedback
To begin with, this soap smells heavenly and tremendously fruity! The soap feels wonderful on the skin. The texture of the soap on my skin feels abundantly moisturizing and conditioning indeed leaving that lovely lather of oils on my wet skin.
After rinsing, my skin has that silky feel promised by the ingredients used! I’m not a soap expert, but this soap seems absolutely acceptable to me. I don’t exactly have much feedback to add. The scent is amazing and the texture of the soap is great! All I can say is that I cannot wait for them to officially start selling these delicious soaps!
