I’ve been looking for a new affordable powder blush. I’m currently using the Glossier Cloud Paint in the shade Storm in my current makeup routine. However, the Cloud Paint is a cream blush and sometimes I prefer a powder blush. I do have two powder blushes, but both contain glitter and I really wanted one that was completely matte.
Therefore, I purchased the Essence Cosmetics The Blush in shade 30 Breathtaking. Best of all, Essence Cosmetics is an affordable brand available everywhere and this powder blush is matte. I have very high hopes for this product since Essence Cosmetics hasn’t disappointed me in the past.

This Essence Cosmetics The Blush has to offer a matte shade and a pearly finish. This blush costs €2,59 which easily makes this one of the most affordable blushes you can find in cosmetic stores. Furthermore, the blush comes in 6 different shades. I bought mine in the shade 30 Breathtaking, which is like a beautiful light pink color. I bet there must be a shade that fits perfect with your skin tone as well. In any case, there is plenty of choice!
In addition, the packing is simple, but extremely compact making this a great product for travelling. You can pop it right in your luggage or handbag! The clear package might seem a bit cheap to some, but what else can you expect for such an affordable blush?!

So, if the packaging of The Blush isn’t all that interesting it must be the blush itself. After using the Essence Cosmetics The Blush for about 2 weeks now in my daily makeup routine, I’m able to confirm that this powder blush doesn’t disappoint.
For such an affordable price it’s a great product! Especially the pigmentation of The Blush is striking! It’s a very light weight and pleasant to wear blush with lots of pigment that’s easily blendable and buildable. In short, it is an affordable blush of great quality that gets the job done! Make sure to pick this one up when you see it in store, it’s worth it!
