Last December, in one of my advent calendars from Douglas, I got an eye mask from the brand Starskin. I got the Starskin Eye Catcher™ Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Mask. I’ve finally used mine and today I will be reviewing it!
About The Eye Catcher Eye Mask
The Eye Catcher mask from Starskin is specially created for the delicate eye contours. The masks formula contains ingredients such as vitamin-rich coconut juice, wrinkle-smoothing Adenosine, brightening Licorice Root extract and soothing Allantoin. This mask is aiming for your eyes to look instantly brighter, more radiant and rejuvenated as fine lines, puffiness and dark circles are diminished in just 15 minutes. I’ve never tried anything from the brand Starskin, but I know that their masks are an A-list essential for many people, so I’m excited to try it.
At the beginning it was a bit of a task to get the eye mask placed under my eyes. Apparently you need to first remove the two outer layers of the eye mask, which are really thin, and then you get this extremely thin jelly eye mask. You had almost nothing left of the mask itself it seemed. The mask itself also has no scent or coloring. I noticed that there was a fair amount of serum still left in the bag, which I think they added in for extra usage.
I find the mask not so special and I would not easily pay the normal price for this. The mask works just fine for the eyes. It really does brighten the skin around the eyes and reduces puffiness and gets rid of those ugly dark circles as much as can, but it’s just a really simple and boring mask for the price they’re asking. I would rate it well for the effectiveness and quality, but the price just brings it down for me.
You can buy the Starskin Eye Catcher™ Smoothing Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Eye Mask from Douglas online or in store for a price of €10,45 (two sets of masks a pack) (product linked newer version of product).
